Subject: Reminder -- FY12 Part B Budget Application Amendments - Deadline April 30, 2012

The FY12 Part B budget applications may be amended until April 30, 2012. After April 30, 2012, districts will no longer be able to make budget amendments to the FY12 Part B budget applications without prior approval from the Special Education Finance Section. Districts must ensure the entire amount of the current year proportionate share calculation is budgeted under function code 1224 on the FY12 Part B budget application. In addition, districts that have not received approval to release prior year proportionate share carryover funds must budget the entire amount of prior year proportionate share carryover under function code 1224 on the FY12 Part B budget application. Districts that have received approval to release prior year proportionate share carryover may budget released funds in any other special education function code on the FY12 Part B budget application.
