Subject: Reminder: 2011-2012 Special Education Improvement Grant Expenditures Final Invoice Due Date

Districts that have been awarded elementary achievement and/or postsecondary transition competitive improvement grants through the Office of Special Education have until April 30, 2012, to expend encumbered grant funds. As stated in the award letter, all funds must have been encumbered by March 31, 2012. A final expenditure report is due on May 15, 2012. Required forms for reports are available through IMACS. Directions are provided at http://www.dese.mo.gov/divspeced/EffectivePractices/ImprovementPlan.htm. The report will serve as the invoice for final reimbursement. Districts that submit reports past May 15, 2012, are not guaranteed to receive reimbursement for activity expenditures.
