The Southwest Regional Professional Development Center is offering a free workshop on "Designing and Modifying for the Regular Education Teacher and Role of the Paraprofessional" on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. This workshop will be held at Missouri State University, Park Central Office Building, Springfield, MO.
This informational and demonstrative workshop will provide information for classroom teachers, special educators, and paraprofessionals and will focus on the unique aspects of educating students who have visual impairments and the role of the regular education teacher, vision teacher, and paraprofessional. Aundrayah Shermer and Julie Anderson-Ituarte, Blindness Skills Specialists, Missouri State University will be presenting.
There is no cost but you must register to attend. NOTE: The workshop will be working through the lunch period. You must bring a sack lunch, as no lunch will be provided.
