Subject:  Hand In Hand: Understanding Deafblindness for Education Teams of Students Who Are Deafblind

Intended Audience:  Educational teams supporting students with deafblindness which may include parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators working with students with combined vision and hearing loss

Date: August 1, 2013

The 2013-14 Hand In Hand course is scheduled for October 1-3, 2013; January 14-15, 2014; and, April 1-2, 2014 in St. Charles, Missouri at Francis Howell School District Offices.  The course combines self-studies, homework assignments, and action planning with onsite mentoring and three face-to-face sessions with course instructors.  Participants will apply acquired knowledge regarding visual impairment, auditory impairment, communication, and movement to the programming of the students they serve with the dual sensory losses.  College credit is available.
