The 2013-14 school year will be an educational ramp-up time about Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) as educators learn new terminology, take self-directed modules, and receive facilitated training about the new DLM instructional tool and assessment for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities. The Dynamic Learning Maps website is at http://www.dynamiclearningmaps.org/.
The informational campaign consists of the following:
1. Monthly communication from Dynamic Learning Maps. This is located on the DESE website at http://www.dese.mo.gov/divimprove/assess/dlm.html.
2. Weekly communication about DLM e-mailed to the District Test Coordinator, Special Education Director, and the District Information Technology Coordinator in each district and charter school. Please see one of them if you are not receiving the updates.
3. A series of informational workshops offered through the Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDCs). Please watch for presentations in your area.
NOTE: The MAP-A ProFile portfolio alternate assessment will continue for the 2013-14 school year. No change for 2013-14.
