Attention: Transition Self-Study training applications are available for the 2012-13 Cohort.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is pleased to announce funding to support 20 schools in implementing a secondary transition self-study process. The Transition Coalition, in conjunction with DESE, will provide Transition Self-Study materials and support using nationally recognized information, strategies, and practices. This district-directed professional development will help schools improve Indicator 13 data and will enhance the abilities of secondary special education staff to improve outcomes for students with disabilities. This self-guided professional development does not require any travel or time away from school.
To be considered for the Transition Self-Study funding, please complete and return the application to Dr. Amy Gaumer Erickson at aerickson@ku.edu or fax to 785-864-6421.
