Intended Audience:  Administrators of teams serving students with visual impairment

Assessment and technical assistance in the areas of vision education and orientation and mobility are available from Outreach Services at Missouri School for the Blind (MSB) at no charge to Local Education Agencies and State Board Operated Programs.  A Vision Supervisor is available to provide functional vision and learning media assessments, yielding information as to how a student's educational performance is affected by visual impairment.  Orientation and mobility assessments are offered to assess a student's safety and independence in travel.  Technical assistance is available for information and resources regarding a variety of topics including adaptations to the learning environment, modifications of materials, instructional strategies, and the Expanded Core Curriculum.  MSB and the Blind Skills Specialists at the Regional Professional Development Centers work together to provide these services.
