The FY12 High Need Fund (HNF) manual, applications, and supporting reports spreadsheet have been posted on the Special Education Finance webpage at http://www.dese.mo.gov/divspeced/Finance/HighNeedIndex.html. The HNF provides reimbursement for districts serving any student with a disability whose educational costs exceed three times the district's Current Expenditure per ADA amount.
The supporting reports spreadsheet contains data needed to complete the application. We have queried this data into a spreadsheet to assist districts in the completion of the application.
The application will be due January 31, 2012, for services provided during the 2010-11 school year. Applications must be saved and submitted electronically via email as an attachment to spedfunding@dese.mo.gov. Districts will be sent a receipt confirmation. Please keep this email for your records.
Please note that students should NOT be claimed on the both the HNF and Public Placement Fund.
